Privacy

Short version: your microphone sound never leaves your device. We do not record it, store it or send it anywhere.

Microphone

The browser asks for permission only when you press Start tuner. The sound is analysed in memory by JavaScript on your device, a few thousand samples at a time, and then discarded. The microphone is switched off when you press Stop, switch tab or leave the page. You can withdraw the permission at any time in your browser settings.

Cookies, ads and analytics

The site sets no cookies and has no ads, no analytics, no tracking pixels and no third-party scripts. All files are served from onlineguitartuner.app. Because nothing requires consent, there is no cookie banner.

Local storage

If you change the tuning on the home page, your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage so it is selected next time. It stays on your device and you can delete it by clearing site data.

Server logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the pages and protect against attacks.
